Who is Jesus?
The simple answer is – Jesus is God. God sent his son Jesus into the world to become a man, like us in every way except he lived a perfect and sinless life. And because of this he provided the way for us to restore our relationship and right-standing with God.
Things aren't what they were meant to be.
Look around, things in this world are broken. Hearts are hurting, people are desperate for something to give them hope, to bring them help, to provide them healing, to give them purpose and meaning.
We look for it in one another – though even when we try our best, we can still let one another down.
Sometimes we look for it in the things around us – jobs, “stuff”, money, status.
The fact is we all know the things of this world ultimately wear out, let us down, or simply break down – leaving us still looking for that sense of peace and fulfillment and purpose you just know is out there somewhere.
Jesus is the one who is needed.
Jesus is Who and What you are looking for. He exchanges our mistakes in life, and the guilt and shame we can carry around for His unconditional love. Life with our Perfect God is what God intended for you, and all of us.
Jesus came because of his love for us. He came to do what we were unable to do for ourselves. He paid the penalty for our not being able to live the way God designed us to live by His death on the cross. He proved to us we can trust Him as our Savior, and that we will live forever with God, when He kept His promise by coming back to life after His death, and returning to heaven where He lives today.
Jesus wants to know you!
Jesus wants you to know Him as your Savior, your Lord, and your friend. It doesn’t matter where you are or where you’ve been in life, He is interested in where He wants to take you in life. He wants you to know that you are God’s creation, his child, uniquely made and completely loved and forgiven by Him. He will provide you purpose and power for this life and He will satisfy your soul for all eternity.
