All church services and gatherings are cancelled through June 10.
Dear Church Family,
We want to make sure everyone is aware of what’s happening at our church during this time. There is a good bit of information below. If you have any questions or something seems unclear please reach out. We are in this together and want to do our best at being the church during this time.
Following Governor Northam’s recommendations to keep gatherings to 10 or below our church services and public gatherings will be cancelled through June 10.
How will we connect?
Grace Church Online – Sunday mornings 10:30am and 6:00pm
Each week we will have a video of an abbreviated service with worship and a message. We would love for you to watch and be a part of it and invite others to join in too. There will also be a live chat feed for people to connect while viewing it together.
Bible Study Hour – Tuesdays at 11:00am
Starting this Tuesday, March 31 at 11am we will be hosting a digital Bible study hour. We will meet virtually each week to read and study scripture together. Sign up here.
Prayer Gathering – Wednesday at 6:30pm
The most important thing we can be doing as followers of Jesus is to pray. This will be a time to call out to God with our most pressing needs and thoughts as we seek God’s favor in the midst of this global crisis. We will keep this meeting to 30minutes or less. If you’d rather be a part and pray silently that is just fine too. Sign up here. (As always please email or call the church office with any specific prayer requests you might have.)
Grace Kids – Resources on our website.
You can find videos and other resources on our Grace Kids page.
Stay up to date with any weekly announcements or events through email or text. Sign up here.
We will be doing our best to give information and announcements through our Facebook Page. If you have not joined I encourage you to do so. It’s an easy way to communicate and touch base. We will also post our online service there for people to see.
A Word on Giving
Your giving is always important for the basic needs of our church and ministry. It is through your support that we are able to operate, support missionaries, and reach out to our local community. Even during this time your giving is essential.
There are three ways you can give.
- Online – This is a very simple way to give. It is secure and it can be done from anywhere. If you haven’t used our online system, this is the perfect time to set it up.
- Text to Give - Text any dollar amount to 84321. Our giving service will give you a quick setup process that will allow you to give anytime just by using your phone's message service.
- By check – The church office will be open with limited hours, but you can still send a check by mail to: Community of Grace Church 2240 Cranbeck Rd. North Chesterfield, VA 23235. (If you would rather like someone to pick-up your offering/tithe please let us know.)
We are working through a very interesting time. Each day brings new changes and concerns – let’s continue to be the church together by supporting, encouraging and connecting with one another and with our God who is “above all, in all, and through all.”
I know God will use this even for His glory, His church will be strengthened, and His kingdom will grow.
“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
